A new initiative to better understand motivations and barriers to taking part in mass participation events like the Great North Run and the London triathlon has been launched and is looking to hear from less traditional runners, cyclists, and other active people.
The research will be used by events owners, charities, brands, and others to inform how events can be developed to attract new participants and better serve those already taking part.
“Over the last 2 years attitudes to keeping active and taking part in mass events has changed, so we’re excited to be helping event organisers, charities, entry platforms and others better understand their current and potential audiences,” said partner at Massive, the agency for mass participation events, John Tasker.
You can share your opinions here The Mass Participation Pulse 2022 (smartsurvey.co.uk) and as a thank you we’ll enter you into a draw to win £250 of vouchers to spend with Wiggle
