Director Hélène Hadjiyianni, Anaïs Quemener and Salomon are proud to present “ANAÏS”, a short documentary from SALOMON TV.

The film re-traces the journey of Anaïs Quemener, a caregiver by night and high-level athlete by day who was the first French woman at the Schneider Marathon de Paris 2023, and the French Marathon champion in 2016 and 2022. The film is available on Salomon’s YouTube channel.

A STORY OF DETERMINATION AND PERSEVERANCE

This documentary is the testimony of a personal journey towards well-being and performance through the portrait of a strong and inspiring woman. Anaïs has a true passion for running, which runs in her family. At the age of 25, Anaïs learned that she was suffering from breast cancer. Instead of giving up running, she decided to use running as a way to clear her head, drawing strength from it and remaining hopeful while facing her illness. “Running saved me,” she said. “I am a very passionate person, who commits fully to everything I do. My cancer was a difficult battle, but it got me to where I am today. I am more grateful than ever for the things around me that make me feel good every day. And above all… I AM ALIVE!”

In 2016, she was crowned French marathon champion, a few months after overcoming breast cancer. She repeated that title in 2022.

“Through her strength of spirit, her determination, her light, her resilience, Anaïs is a vector of strength and a spirit of determination,” said Hélène Hadjiyianni, director of the film. “I hope that viewers will be inspired by this experience and this fragment of life that we had the chance to share with her and her ‘pack.’ I hope that Anaïs will make everyone want to get moving and live. I hope that this film will invite everyone to (re)connect to themselves, to the organic power that composes us, surrounds us and accompanies us on a daily basis: nature, our bodies, our senses, the elements. ‘Here the sap, here the blood, here the fire, Anaïs:  It’s all fire.’”
