Swiss premium sportswear brand On is launching the next evolution of its most innovative racing shoe to date, Cloudboom Strike LS, in a White/Raspberry colourway on September 4th. This limited-edition racing shoe represents the latest addition to On’s groundbreaking LightSpray™ technology footwear series.
This drop follows the inauguration of the world’s first LightSpray™ production facility in Zurich, Switzerland, in July. The facility marks a milestone in mastering the manufacturing processes involved and demonstrates the flexible production capabilities offered by the LightSpray™ technology.
LightSpray™, developed at On Labs, is a revolutionary automated shoe upper manufacturing technology. It sprays a 1.5km filament around a shoe’s last to create a seamless upper in three minutes, significantly cutting material waste and carbon emissions by 75% compared to other On racing uppers. This results in a lace-free, second-skin fit optimized for performance.
The Cloudboom Strike LS, engineered for speed, will be available in White/Raspberry from September 4th at select On stores and specialty retailers.
To further engage runners with LightSpray™ technology, On Labs, On’s mobile innovation hub, will be present at the World Athletic Championships in Tokyo and the Berlin marathon, offering immersive experiences and exclusive try-ons.
On Labs Tokyo
On Labs Tokyo is bringing LightSpray™ technology to Japan for the first time, serving as a hub for the company and On athletes during the World Athletic Championships from September 13-21 at 6-35-6 Jingumae, Shibuya, Tokyo. On Labs Tokyo serves as a space to connect with Tokyo’s creative and athletic community and invite Japanese fans to experience LightSpray™ in action with exclusive try-ons, daily workshops, panel discussions, run analyses, live treadmill demonstrations, and morning community runs and movement sessions. On Labs Berlin will for the first time set foot in the German capital from September 19-21 at Kraftwerk Berlin, Köpenicker Str. 70, 10179 Berlin. An interdisciplinary program will showcase On’s core values – innovation, performance, and design – by integrating them with art and cultural elements tailored to Berlin. Attendees can anticipate an art installation by Boris Acket echoing LightSpray™, dynamic DJ sets, live robot demonstrations with exclusive try-ons, insightful run analyses, engaging workshops, and panel discussions.
