Northern Gym Equipment celebrates record growth one year after Decathlon launch

  • Northern Gym Equipment reports online sales through Decathlon have grown over 350% within first year of partnership, becoming one of the retailer’s top-selling home fitness equipment partner brands
  • Range expands to more than 300 products, as brand explores in-store opportunities
  • Success comes as rising adoption of at-home fitness drives market growth in the UK

Manchester, 1st September, 2026Northern Gym Equipment (NGE), one of the UK’s fastest-growing home fitness brands, has become one of the top-selling home fitness equipment partner brands on Decathlon’s UK website, as growth continues to accelerate one year on.

NGE first launched on Decathlon’s online marketplace in July 2025 with a select range of products. Since then, its presence has expanded to more than 300 products, while NGE’s monthly revenue generated through Decathlon has risen by over 350% over the past year, marking a 4.5-fold increase.

NGE’s Decathlon range includes both bundles and individual equipment pieces aimed at beginner, intermediate and advanced users. Covering strength training, functional fitness, CrossFit, Hyrox and Pilates, products are available in classic and contemporary colour hues, and are all designed to support control, balance and the way your body naturally moves.

Following its online success, a select range of NGE products has recently launched in Decathlon stores as part of the retailer’s marketplace showroom initiative, as the businesses now explore opportunities to broaden NGE’s physical retail presence across the UK.

Mahavir Singh Nerwan, co-founder and director of Northern Gym Equipment, comments: “When we first launched with Decathlon, we started with a relatively limited range to understand how the partnership, systems and customer journey worked. To become one of the top partner home gym equipment brands on the platform – which we achieved within just six months of launching – was a huge milestone for us, but what’s even more encouraging is the growth that’s continued month after month.

“A 4.5x increase shows us not only how much demand there is for quality home gym equipment, and how well our range suits Decathlon’s customer base, but that we’re able to scale – and scale fast. It’s a very strong, mutually beneficial partnership. Decathlon is a great platform to convey our brand story and message, and also help educate customers on the right products they should be buying. We look forward to developing our relationship even further over the next 12 months.”

The performance comes as demand for home-based fitness solutions continues to grow across the UK, driven by rising health awareness, lifestyle changes, and a need for convenience and flexibility. According to Mobility Foresight’s UK fitness equipment 2031 report, the UK fitness equipment market was worth $7.2 billion in 2025 and is forecast to reach $12.6 billion by 2031, representing a CAGR of 9.8%.

Jamil Popat, Key Account Manager Leader at Decathlon, comments: “Northern Gym Equipment has proved to be an exceptionally strong partner for us over the past year, with its core products – including hex dumbbells, cast iron kettlebells, bumper plates, benches and storage racks – all proving strong sellers, with exclusive bundles and package sets also performing particularly well.

“The breadth of NGE’s offering – coupled with a focus on quality design that really complements the aesthetics of people’s homes – makes it a great fit for our online marketplace, and now, our Marketplace Showroom. The Northern team has also worked closely with us to develop promotions, marketing activity and new ways to showcase the range, forming a partnership that goes beyond just listing products on our platform.”

The partnership with Decathlon forms part of NGE’s wider strategy to build an omnichannel business and reach customers at different stages of their fitness journey, from those buying their first pair of dumbbells through to more experienced customers building out complete home gyms.

Since launching in 2024, NGE has grown rapidly, recording 150% year-on-year growth for two consecutive years and securing partnerships with other major retailers including John Lewis.
