The Nike ACG Pegasus Trail running shoes bring ReactX cushioning and an updated All-Terrain Compound outsole to mixed off-road routes. This women’s model is designed for trail running with the responsiveness associated with Nike’s road footwear. The revised forefoot offers more space around the toes, and the upper uses engineered mesh to combine ventilation with trail-ready construction.
Nike says this generation has more ReactX foam than before, giving it a higher cushioning platform. The official product page lists an 8mm heel-to-toe drop and an approximate weight of 247g in women’s UK size 5.5. The brand identifies moderately technical terrain and road-to-trail outings among its intended uses.
Choosing the right trail shoe
This makes the ACG Pegasus Trail an interesting model for runners whose routes begin on pavement and continue onto local paths. Before choosing it, work out how much of a normal run is spent on each surface. A route containing a short unpaved section is different from one that spends most of the day away from the road.
