ASICS introduces the new FUJI LITE 6 and FUJI SPEED 4

Designed to master the trails with comfort and speed

Fuji Lite 6 or Fujispeed 4: what is the difference?

ASICS positioned these AW25 models for different trail priorities. Its July 2025 announcement emphasises control on technical ground for the Fuji Lite 6 and propulsion on more runnable trails for the Fujispeed 4.

Both use ASICSGRIP rubber. Terrain, fit and how you prefer a shoe to flex matter more than selecting on the model name alone. This comparison explains the published construction; it is not a new wear test.

ASICS unveils the AW25 FUJITRAIL Collection, introducing its latest trail innovations: the FUJI LITE 6 and FUJISPEED 4 shoes. Designed for advanced control and speed, both models push the limits of lightweight design, grip, and responsiveness, empowering runners to move freely across the trails. The FUJI LITE 6 shoes support runners on more technical terrain by delivering a more grounded trail experience with a lowered stack height and adjusted outsole pattern for optimal control. This shoe offers a dynamic combination of FF BLAST™ PLUS cushioning, ASICSGRIP™ technology, and an enhanced outsole with 4mm lugs for a locked-in feel on rocky and uneven surfaces. For those seeking speed and propulsion across more runnable terrain, the FUJISPEED 4 shoes bring energy to every stride. Updated with a PEBAX® plate sandwiched between a dual-layered FF BLAST™ PLUS midsole, this model is made for the more competitive runner looking for flexible propulsion and enhanced responsiveness. The ASICSGRIP™ technology paired with a 3.5mm lug height on the outsole offers the necessary support during uphill and downhill movement. Anna Marchena Aso, Product Marketing Specialist at ASICS EMEA, said: “At ASICS, our goal is to help runners move with ease in products that feel right for body and mind, while also pushing their performance when it counts. Which is why we’re excited to introduce (this season) the new FUJI LITE™ 6 shoes which deliver agile control, while the new FUJISPEED™ 4 model brings fast, responsive propulsion. Striving for continuous improvement in the spirit of our Kaizen mindset, our new FUJITRAIL™ series was developed with input and feedback from our elite athletes like Dimas Pereira to meet the demands of trail runners.” Both shoes are complimented by the FUJITRAIL Apparel Collection, which features breathable, weather-ready apparel designed specifically for trail conditions. The collection incorporates ACTIBREEZE™ technology, water resistant garments, and smart storage solutions to ensure unrestricted movement and comfort throughout unpredictable trail adventures. The FUJITRAIL Elite Waterproof Jacket also includes ACTIMOTION™ and 3D-Patterning technologies, designed to follow the natural movement of the runner’s body and improve freedom of motion in the arms. The FUJI LITE 6 (€140) and FUJISPEED 4 (€180) were announced for release in stores and online at asics.com from 1 July and 1 August 2025, respectively.
