Canadian 800m runner Avery Pearson has joined the On Athletics Club Global Team, becoming the first Canadian athlete in its Boulder-based squad.

The signing marks Pearson’s move into professional running, with representing Canada at an Olympic Games among her ambitions.

Her international experience includes an 800m final at the World U20 Championships. At the University of Colorado, she earned All-American recognition and won the 2026 Big 12 indoor 600-yard title. On lists her 800m personal best as 2:00.76.

OAC team manager Andrew Wheating highlighted Pearson’s potential and determination, saying the team looked forward to supporting her development on the international stage.

Pearson pointed to the group’s people, culture and emphasis on learning as reasons for joining. She described the opportunity as a supportive environment for pursuing her ambitions.
