The Saucony London 10k has officially sold out faster than ever before, continuing a multi‑year trend of unprecedented demand for one of the UK’s most iconic summer running events.
Set to take over the capital on Sunday 12 July 2026, the race will once again see thousands charge through central London on a spectacular closed‑road route powered by live bands, DJs and roaring crowds, with runners passing world‑famous landmarks including Westminster Bridge, The London Eye, Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus and Big Ben.
Following consecutive record‑breaking sell‑outs in previous years, entries for 2026 were snapped up at remarkable speed, reflecting the continued boom in participation running and the growing appetite for live sporting experiences that prioritise community, wellbeing and movement.
Motiv Sports UK, organisers of the Saucony London 10k, attribute the rapid sell‑out to London’s thriving running culture and the event’s distinctive atmosphere, which blends fast racing with festival‑style energy. The 2025 edition saw over 17,000 runners take to the streets in another record‑timed sell‑out, reinforcing the event’s status as a highlight of the UK running calendar.
Ian Allerton, Managing Director at Motiv Sports UK, said: “Selling out 20,000 places, a record for the event, faster than ever says everything about where running in London and across the UK is right now.
“People aren’t just signing up to run 10k – they’re signing up for an experience, and that’s exactly what we and our partners at Saucony set out to deliver, closed roads through the heart of the capital, iconic landmarks, live music and a real summer celebration.
“We’re proud that 2026 sees more places going to our charity partners than ever before, so if you still want to be on that start line, joining our headline charity partner Cancer Research UK or our wider line-up of fantastic charities, is the best way to take part. We can’t wait to welcome everyone to the streets of London later this year.”
With its flat, fast and fully closed‑road course, the race remains a favourite for both first‑timers and PB‑chasers, offering an accessible and electrifying 10k experience in the heart of the city.
