On Welcomes Jamaican Sprinter Ackeem Blake

The 100m powerhouse is the first professional Jamaican athlete to join the Swiss brand’s growing track and field roster

On, the Swiss sportswear brand is today announcing the signing of Jamaican sprinter Ackeem Blake. The 24-year old phenom, who boasts a personal best of 9.88 seconds in the 100m, joins a growing family of elite track and field athletes. Blake has built an impressive track record of success, consistently improving on the global stage. His championship journey began in 2022 at the North American, Central American and Caribbean (NACAC) Championships, where he captured gold in the 100m and a bronze in the 4x100m relay. The following year, he stepped onto the podium at the 2023 World Championships in Budapest to help secure a bronze medal for the Jamaican 4x100m relay team. Blake continued his ascent in 2024, earning an individual bronze medal in the 60m at the World Indoor Championships in Glasgow and capping off his season with a victory in the 100m at the Brussels Diamond League final.

“We are incredibly excited to welcome Akeem to the On family,” said Kevin Quadrozzi, Athlete Manager at On. “Akeem represents the next generation of track and field, and his passion, commitment, and inspiring personal story are qualities we admire. As our first professional Jamaican athlete, his signing marks a significant milestone for us as we continue to build our presence in Jamaica. We look forward to supporting him on his journey with our latest innovations in performance footwear and apparel.”

“I’m thrilled to be joining a brand that is as obsessed with performance as I am,” said Ackeem. “The team at On understands what it takes to compete at the highest level, and I have no doubt that their footwear and support will help me achieve my goals. I’m ready to run and show the world what’s possible.” Blake’s journey to the world stage is a story of powerful motivation and perseverance. Hailing from Hanover, Jamaica, he emerged from a high school with limited resources, making the leap to the professional ranks in Kingston fueled by a profound desire to make his father proud. He credits his father’s unwavering support—who gave him what little money he had to pursue the dream—as the foundation of his career. This deep-seated motivation, combined with expert guidance from the Dynamic Track Club, has been instrumental in his success.

Blake will race in the On kit for the first time in Boston on Saturday, the 24th of January.
