The pinnacle of Mizuno’s racing collection and built with lightness and speed, the Hyperwarp 96 joins Mizuno’s Hyperwarp series as the hero shoe for competitive runners with explosive performance in mind. The Hyperwarp 96 is the pinnacle of Mizuno’s 120 year of expertise in designing sportswear and running shoes. It is radically engineered to create the ultimate balance of light-weight materials and cushioning for race-day success. Following Mizuno’s investment into product development at the Osaka HQ, the brand can now produce new protypes within 48 hours. This follows tester feedback and product team iterations.

First unveiling at Berlin Marathon this weekend, the Mizuno Hyperwarp 96 is built using a brand-new foam for Mizuno, the Mizuno Enerzy XP+. The precision midsole has been engineered specifically with the goal of producing a sub-100g racing trainer. At the same time, it balances cushioning and high-level responsive rebound properties for powerful toe off acceleration. This has been done by careful Japanese craft and precision of shaving minor areas of the midsole. These are not required during the foot strike.

The Hyperwarp 96 is built around a full-length 3D carbon plate, the Smooth Speed Plate, for unparalleled bounce and rebound. It also contains a 3D engineered spray-on upper with no laces. Furthermore, the Upper is split in two parts with dual density around the lower half. Only single density is used for the remaining upper.

Mizuno’s running message has always been to ‘Reach Beyond’ to push new boundaries, and with the Hyperwarp96 they’re doing exactly that to enable runners to do the same. Now, 120 years since the company started, their love affair with running fast has become their greatest motivation.
