Ciele Athletics has introduced its second Woolmark-certified collection, extending its use of Merino wool across technical layers, cold-weather accessories and knitted headwear for runners.
The Montreal brand’s Sorino material platform sits at the centre of the collection. Sorino | WS combines Merino wool and silk in its HLS base-layer system and accessories, including face masks, neck tubes and balaclavas.
Ciele says the blend is designed to support temperature regulation, moisture management and next-to-skin comfort as conditions and levels of exertion change.
Merino headwear in four styles
The collection also includes Woolmark-certified beanies in the CX, SKL, AC and VNT styles. These use Sorino | W, a 100% Merino wool yarn, and are designed for repeated wear across cold-weather conditions.
Woolmark certification independently verifies that products meet standards covering fibre content, colourfastness, durability and laundering performance.
The partnership forms part of Ciele’s approach to material selection and product longevity. The company, founded in Montreal in 2014 by Jeremy Bresnen and Mike Giles, is B Corp certified.
“We make things to be worn hard and kept for a long time,” said co-founder Jeremy Bresnen.
A system of layers and accessories
Woolmark Managing Director Bryan Fry said the collection demonstrated the use of Merino across a wider performance system, bringing together close-fitting base layers and additional cold-weather protection.
The products are available through Ciele Athletics, its espace | MTL flagship store in Montreal and selected retailers globally.
