One year of innovation: Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro adds over 170 features

Amazfit says its T-Rex 3 Pro has received more than 170 new features and optimisations since its global launch in September 2025, expanding the rugged sports watch’s capabilities for adventure, running, trail running and HYROX.

The T-Rex 3 Pro is available in 44mm and 48mm versions. Software updates have added tools spanning navigation, endurance training, recovery and hybrid competition.

“We are guided by the needs of our fans, who may focus on a single discipline today but want to try their hand at other sports in the future,” said Jesus Carrero, General Manager of Amazfit Europe.

Adventure and navigation updates

  • Built-in LED flashlight: users can activate the light by holding the UP button. A Boost mode, activated with the UP and BACK buttons, raises brightness from 200 lux to 300 lux.
  • Faster maps: maps load more quickly, trails are differentiated from urban roads by colour, and points of interest are easier to read.
  • Loop Routes: users can build offline loop routes and return to their starting point. The watch can recalculate a route after a deviation and store up to 100 routes.
  • Longer cycling routes: the Zepp App can now create cycling routes up to 100km, while an updated altitude algorithm tracks total elevation gain.
  • Diving: the 10 ATM watch supports dives to 50 metres and has gained automatic dive detection plus an updated depth algorithm for open and enclosed water.

Running and trail-running tools

Runners can select from 100 training metrics and display up to eight at once, compared with six previously. Zepp Coach can generate personalised AI training plans based on fitness level and age, with plans adjustable as training changes.

Trail runners can use grade-adjusted pace to translate speed over varying gradients into a flat-ground equivalent, shown in real time or as an average. The updates also add lactate-threshold tracking, faster ambient-brightness adjustment, a pre-workout screen lock and the option to record a rate of perceived exertion directly on the watch after training.

HYROX updates

The HYROX Race mode now records time spent in the Rox Zone between running segments and workout stations. Post-race analysis in the Zepp App includes heart-rate drift across stations and runs.

Other additions include Hybrid Charge recovery monitoring, Training Balance and a HYROX Simulation workout mode with five training scenarios. Users can build a personalised session from HYROX exercises and use a single button to move recording to the next exercise.

The T-Rex 3 Pro can pair with Concept2 rowing machines and Stryd devices, supporting more detailed running pace and power data. Athletes can also create race strategies for different arena sizes and use HYROX Virtual Pace to compare their real-time pace with the plan.

Compatibility with the Helio Strap Pro adds nine-axis movement tracking and is intended to improve assessment of HYROX exercise performance.
