Sports recovery and joint-support brand Bearhug has launched its first rub range, pairing an Anti Chafe Rub with a Muscle Rub in a new Rub Duo.
The launch comes during the company’s tenth anniversary year, as founder Rhys George works through ten endurance challenges in 12 months. The programme ranges from multi-day ultras to an Apex Everest ascent challenge on Helvellyn and is raising money for Parkinson’s UK, Alzheimer’s Society, Prostate Cymru and parkrun.
“Ultra distances teach you fast what your body needs,” said George. “Chafe and tired muscles were the two things that came up again and again, on me and on everyone running alongside me. We wanted protection before you go and recovery after, made to the same standard as our supports.”
Protection before activity
Bearhug describes the Anti Chafe Rub as a natural, vegan barrier balm designed to reduce friction during sport, adventure and everyday movement.
Recovery after exercise
The Muscle Rub is a nourishing, warming recovery balm intended to be massaged into hard-working muscles after exercise.
Both products are available from the Bearhug rub range. George’s 10-in-10 challenge continues into 2027; supporters can follow the campaign or donate.
