100km World Champion Floriane Hot joins On

Aix-en-Provence-based Marathon and long-distance runner Floriane Hot is has joined On’s athlete roster.

Hot’s signing with the Swiss brand comes on the heels of a fantastic run to the 2022 100km World Champion title in Berlin, which the 30-year-old completed in a new French and European record of seven hours and four minutes. Hot is equally at home on the Marathon distance, where her personal best stands at two hours and 42 minutes, run in Valencia at the beginning of 2022.

“In 2022, I wanted to try another distance, the 100km. I became the national champion in April, which allowed me to wear the French jersey at the World Championship in August. This was already a dream I did not dare to believe in,” Hot said. “The 100km in Berlin was a race I ran much more with my mind than with my legs. During the seven hours, I went through moments of enormous doubt and moments of intense euphoria. Finishing first in record time, surrounded by all my family and friends, will remain one of my most beautiful memories ever.”

Hot, an air traffic controller by trade who got hooked on running marathons after being challenged to one in 2014, is no stranger to On, as she joins fellow French Marathon runner and husband Nicolas Navarro at the brand.

“On is a young and innovative brand with a great image and values that inspire me and correspond with mine. In terms of the products, I love the Cloudmonster. I do everything with them, whether it’s recovery jogging, active jogging, or even Fartlek sessions. Beyond that, for women, the bra is the most important piece of running equipment. The On bras combine comfort, support, and style and are the only ones that do not heat up my chest,” she said.

Regarding goals for the new competition season, the 33-year-old’s focus will shift in a different direction for now.

“For the 2023 season, my focus has shifted a little because we expect an addition to our family before the summer”, Hot said. “My first objective will therefore be to make the best of this pregnancy, then to resume quietly with the desire to go back to the Marathon. After doing two 100km races in 2022, I can’t wait to run a marathon again!”
