KIPRUN, DECATHLON’s performance running brand, announces the launch of its latest innovation: high-performance compression tights engineered in collaboration with RHEON LABS®. Developed with cutting-edge materials and validated through advanced laboratory testing, the KIPRUN Run Compress 900 RHEON tights mark a new era in running apparel for KIPRUN by merging biomechanical science and intelligent design.
The partnership between KIPRUN and RHEON LABS® centres around a shared ambition: to create a compression product that genuinely improves muscle support, without compromising comfort. Featuring RHEON™ technology, a reactive super- polymer that adapts to movement and impact in real time, the Run Compress 900 RHEON tights offer dynamic support exactly when the athlete needs it most.
The smart film design was co-developed with RHEON LABS® using an Advanced Computational Design tool and muscle mapping to maximise runner performance. The result: a product that withstands the rigors of mountain trails and fast-paced technical running.
Laboratory testing has demonstrated a 4.6% reduction in acceleration forces on the quadriceps muscles compared to the previous KIPRUN Run 900 tights, and a 19.3% reduction versus baseline conditions (i.e. underwear only).

OPTIMISED FOR WINTER, READY FOR THE LONG RUN
Durability was a top priority during product development. Designed specifically for demanding trail runners and ultra-distance athletes, the tights are optimised for winter performance, with a shorter summer version to follow. While this first range is tailored for men, a women’s collection is already in development. The Run 900 Compress RHEON tights are de- signed to let you carry your nutrition and hydration on long runs. It features a front compartment that can hold two 250 ml flasks. You’ll also find a secure back pocket to keep your phone safe, while a small pocket on each side for keys or a card. Everything stays within easy reach, without restricting your movement.
In addition to performance, KIPRUN focused on sustainability. While the tights do not use recycled fabric, they feature dope-dyed technology, which colours the fibre directly, significantly reducing water and chemical usage compared to traditional dyeing methods.
