Nike has been named the official brand partner of the San Antonio Marathon, strengthening the event’s commercial programme ahead of its second annual race weekend in December.
The partnership was announced by San Antonio Sports, the event’s owner and organiser, and will encompass experiences for runners in the lead-up to race day as well as throughout the event itself.
Support across the runner journey
Nike will be integrated into the marathon’s digital platforms, runner tracking and results, with additional activations intended to connect with participants from registration through training and the race weekend. The organisers expect more than 20,000 entrants for the 4–6 December 2026 event.
For the wider running industry, the agreement illustrates the growing value brands place on community-facing participation events, where opportunities extend beyond conventional race-day signage into services and engagement that runners use during their preparation.
Growing the event
The San Antonio Marathon is building on its inaugural edition as it seeks to establish a recurring place in the US running calendar. Nike’s involvement adds a prominent global running brand to that development strategy.
The announcement does not disclose financial terms of the agreement. Further details of the partnership and associated event experiences will be communicated through the organisers.
