TRC26 launches three-day agenda built around six industry themes

The Running Industry Alliance has launched the full agenda for The Running Conference presented by haku 2026, setting out a three-day programme built around six themes chosen with member feedback.

TRC26 will take place from 6 to 8 December at Burleigh Court Hotel and Conference Centre, Loughborough University. The fifth edition is designed as a 360-degree journey bringing the different channels of Running Industry Alliance membership together through industry insight, discussion and in-person collaboration.

Six themes for TRC26

The content programme moves from the current state of the sector towards its future, organised around six themes:

  • The Marketplace: where the industry is now
  • The Business of Running: where the opportunity lies
  • Evolution: what is changing
  • The Runner: who the industry serves
  • Challenges: what businesses need to navigate
  • The Future: what comes next

Speakers and panels for each theme are due to be announced over the coming weeks.

Three-day agenda

Sunday 6 December will focus on connection, discovery and business. The opening day includes badge collection, Pop-Up Discovery Spaces, member networking, a welcome reception, channel and group meet-ups, and the Out There Sessions from Outside of Ordinary.

Monday 7 December will cover the marketplace, the business of running and industry evolution. It begins with an early run hosted by adidas before a welcome and RIA briefing at 08:45. The day will include member-first intelligence from the Endurance Sport Survey 2026/27 and The National Running Report 2027, followed by Track Stars hosted by Threshold Sports, Krono:Sports, ASICS and SportsShoes.com. An RIA x TIA drinks reception and dinner will follow.

Tuesday 8 December will examine the runner, sector challenges and the future. The day starts with an early run hosted by SCOTT and Unsanctioned Athletics, followed by sessions on changing runners, major industry challenges, business models, technology and global growth. The programme closes with an informal wrap-up and one-to-one meetings at 16:00.

The event’s new TRC Experience page explains the wider programme, while the full TRC26 agenda sets out timings for each day.
