Women’s Run Series is excited to announce two more events in 2025! This announcement follows the tremendous success of the sold out inaugural Women’s Run Series 5k & 10k presented by StoneX on International Women’s Day, as well as another successful event held this April at Heaton Park in Manchester. The Women’s Run Series is returning on Thursday 21st August 2025 and Saturday 11th October 2025, both events will be hosted at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the iconic venue of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Women’s Run Series is supported by RunThrough, the UK’s largest and Europe’s fastest growing running events company,
The first two events, held at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on International Women’s Day and at Heaton Park in Manchester, were a resounding success, welcoming thousands of women to the start line. These events were more than just races; they were safe, supportive spaces where women of all ages, backgrounds, and fitness levels felt empowered to take part, many for the very first time.
Jessica Milloy from Asian Girls Run commented: “It was such an incredible day & we were SO happy to take part! Women supporting women is what we’re here for!” whilst runner Hiyam Ramzam said: “What a beautiful event and so nicely organised. The vibes were something else. Yes please to more women’s events”. Through community engagement and consultation, and a focus on inclusivity, the Women’s Run Series has already helped inspire a new wave of female runners to lace up and discover the joy of running in an environment designed just for them.

The Women’s Run Series aims to break down barriers in female and ethnic minority participation, inspiring a diverse and vibrant running community. By partnering with grassroots organisations, Women’s Run Series hopes to nurture and elevate women’s sports, fostering a more active, healthy, and connected society. The series will provide a welcoming space for all women, regardless of background or experience, to thrive and inspire one another, positioning physical and mental well-being at the forefront of this unique series.
We’re proud to announce that our August event at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park will once again be presented by StoneX, continuing a powerful partnership rooted in shared values of inclusivity, empowerment, and community impact. The purpose behind Women’s Run Series:
- Empowering Women Through Running – A race series designed specifically for women, creating a supportive and inspiring environment for runners of all abilities, from beginners to seasoned athletes.
- Inclusive & Community-Focused – More than just a race, the event fosters a strong sense of community, encouraging participation from all backgrounds while supporting women’s health and fitness initiatives. Results will be listed in alphabetical order rather than by time.
- Creating Space in a Male-Dominated Landscape – Despite growing interest in running, many women still face barriers to participation, from safety concerns to lack of representation and inclusive environments. The Women’s Run Series was created to directly address these challenges, offering a space where women can feel safe, seen, and supported at every step.
