Dylan Scott joins Science in Sport as global ambassador

Science in Sport has appointed HYROX World Champion Dylan Scott as a global ambassador and member of its elite athlete roster.

Scott’s route to hybrid racing began in track and cross country. A serious and persistent back injury disrupted his collegiate running career before he returned to fitness and moved into HYROX, winning his first Pro division race in 2021 and finishing sixth at the second World Championships.

He has since won a world title, a world bronze medal, two North American titles and several other major races. Science in Sport said Scott has recorded 43 career podium finishes, holds American records in Pro Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles, and has produced the second-fastest Singles time recorded at 52:40.

His recent results include victories in both Singles and Men’s Doubles in Boston. The partnership comes as he targets the world record and prepares for the 2027 season.

Performance nutrition focus

Scott will work with Science in Sport’s science and product-development teams, contributing his experience of HYROX training and racing. The company said the collaboration will help inform its work on performance nutrition and fuelling education for hybrid athletes.

Scott said: “Being a part of the Science in Sport team will undoubtedly bolster my potential as a competitor. I’m thrilled with this opportunity to share my journey with the number one sports nutrition brand and its roster of great athletes. They have shown faith in my future; partnering with their world-class resources only makes that future brighter.

“In my ambition to continue competing at the very top of the sport, I’m focused on continually finding ways to make my best even better. Having an ally that’s as committed to that goal as I am, with the scientific expertise to back it up, gives me real confidence. Heading into the 2027 season, I’m really looking forward to exploring what we can achieve together.”

Dan Lampard, CCOO at Science in Sport, said: “Aligning with Dylan represents an exciting new direction for Science in Sport. With its unique combination of running, strength, concentration, and high-intensity effort, HYROX demands a huge amount from both body and mind. There’s a meaningful opportunity here to help athletes at all levels better understand their nutritional needs and bring greater precision to how they prepare, fuel, and recover.

“Dylan’s dedication to applying the latest scientific advancements to his search for constant improvement makes him the perfect addition to our team. As we continue to expand in the US, partnering with an American at the very forefront of hybrid racing demonstrates our wholehearted commitment to this community, from elite to amateur. We’re intent on investing in its athletes, while bringing our performance nutrition expertise to all HYROXers pursuing their individual goals.”

Science in Sport said the appointment supports its continuing expansion in the United States and its work across high-intensity and hybrid sports.
