Salomon has opened a new brand store in Annecy, France, just steps from the company Annecy Design Center, where every Salomon product is imagined, developed and prototyped.
The bright, modern, spacious interior is full of all of Salomon’s latest products offers ski boot-fitting services and a winter sports rental area. This new flagship store, which celebrated its grand opening on April 5, is open from Monday to Friday, 10AM to 7PM and on Saturdays from 10am to 6pm.
The company invited local partners and officials to a grand opening celebration at the store, where they toured the Annecy Design Center and the brand new Salomon store. The whole international trail-running team were there, including François D’haene, Mathieu Blanchard and Courtney Dauwalter, along with skiers and snowboarders such as Fabien Maierhofer, Victor Daviet, Gaëtan Gaudissard.

Every year, thousands of outdoors lovers flock to Annecy, where Salomon was born in 1947, to experience its spectacular lakeside setting among the surrounding mountain peaks. Like Salomon employees themselves, these visitors go hiking or trail running on the trails of Mont Veyrier and Semnoz in the warmer months and ski the nearby slopes of Le Grand Bornand and La Clusaz in winter. Annecy also acts as the entrance to the wider French Alps, where outdoor lovers from around the world seek alpine adventure.
In addition to showcasing all the latest equipment from Salomon, the store offers a first-class ski boot-fitting area with a 3D scanner, insole moulding machine, and various tools to deliver custom-fitting ski boots. There are also ski waxing/tuning and ski rentals onsite. Customers can even bring their old Salomon gear, apparel and accessories to have them repaired.
The flagship store’s calendar is full of community activations—from athlete appearances and product testing sessions to running events and workshops on mountain safety.

The layout of the store is organized with a sport-first approach, so visitors can find all trail running products (shoes, clothing, accessories, and running vests) in one dedicated area, while other sections of the store will showcase hiking, road running, alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, snowboarding, and ski touring products. Finally, to answer a growing demand for Salomon’s Sportstyle footwear range, this new flagship store also has a dedicated area showcasing the newest sneaker collection.
