Ditch the devices and play dirty with INOV8

The brand has also launched a new competition to win a dirty weekend in the Lake District

Ahead of Stress Awareness Month (April) and Mental Health Awareness Week (May), sports brand INOV8 has launched a campaign encouraging people to reap the benefits of outdoors fun. The Play Dirty campaign is aimed at raising awareness of the dangers associated with too much screentime. INOV8 want people to ditch the devices and instead, where possible, get out onto muddy trails, either running or hiking.

With clocks set to go forward at the end of the month and Spring approaching, the time to play dirty is now, before trails dry up.

And INOV8 is leading the way in its own campaign, encouraging staff members to better utilise their lunchtimes this March in a bid to boost mental fitness.

The brand has also launched a new competition to win a dirty weekend in the Lake District, where its HQ is based. The prize includes a two-night stay for two in England’s most mountainous national park, two guided runs over the best – and dirtiest – trails in the area, and two INOV8 kit bundles.

Michael Price, INOV8’s product and marketing director, said: “We want people to reconnect with nature, embrace the outdoors and play dirty.

“Most of us are guilty of too much screen time, which can lead to increased stress and an impact on mental fitness. We’re encouraging everyone to ditch the devices and awaken their senses to the natural environment through running or hiking – it’s where the real fun begins.

“We’re starting close to home, right here at INOV8 HQ, by promoting non-screen lunchtimes and the exploration of the trails that run from our back door.”
