Salomon, the modern mountain sports lifestyle brand, is coming into this new Spring/Summer 2025 season with updated footwear for trail and road running, focusing on comfort and boasting the best proven Salomon technologies to support all runners on short, long, slow and fast runs.
The running community has been growing all over the world, with major marathons seeing record participation, more people signing up to local races and running clubs popping up in cities. People are more than ever eager to get outside, whether it’s to feel good or test themselves, before sharing a beer and a slice of pizza. Trail running is also becoming more popular as runners are increasingly attracted by the challenge of rocky trails and the promise of great views and connection to nature. Comfort being the number 1 criteria runners look for in running footwear, Salomon is updating its trail and road running footwear with a combination of cushy, dynamic foams in the midsole and a new outsole geometry to provide long-lasting comfort. This Spring/Summer 2025 running range also comes with a new stable construction for the ADV Skin running vest and a new range of lightweight apparel, all painted with modern, vibrant and earthy colours to match the growing need for clothing that is both athletic and stylish.
The new Salomon Ultra Glide 3 uses an EVA energyFOAM midsole and a new outsole geometry called relieveSPHERE, meant to diffuse repeated impacts underfoot and improve overall comfort, even on long runs. The Aero Glide 3 boasts a TPU energyFOAM EVO foam, which provides more cushioning and energy return. Both shoes feature a combination of the sensiFIT technology wrapping around the foot and the quickLACE lacing system creates a snug, confident feeling while running, even on fast runs. Following the Metacross 2 and S/LAB Phantasm 2, the new XA Meta continues Salomon’s Made-in-France story, reducing the carbon footprint of footwear by reducing the overall distance travelled and using Matryx fabric made by Chamatex in France. The new shakeOUT apparel range features lightweight and breathable fabric with modern cuts and colours. The updated ADV Skin 12 brings even more stability thanks to a new Y-shape construction.
Comfortable footwear for road & trail running
The Ultra Glide 3 is a trail shoe that focuses on comfort and cushioning, the number one request from runners, making trail running more accessible to all runners, while still providing dynamism to energize your stride and keep you running as long as you wish. The midsole is constructed with Salomon’s lightweight energyFOAM made with EVA, which ensures the best combination of cushioning and dynamism. To create that long-lasting comfort, the outsole is built with a new wavy relieveSPHERE geometry that is designed to diffuse pressure and break down repeated underfoot impact for enhanced comfort, even on long runs. The outsole features Salomon’s durable and grippy contaGRIP® rubber that is built for wet, dry, hard, or loose surfaces with 4.5mm lugs to ensure confidence on all terrain. The ultra-light, durable, and breathable upper is made with 50% recycled materials and features the proven combination of sensiFIT and quickLACE lacing system for a snug, adjustable fit that improves foothold and confidence on technical terrain.

Building on the previous models coming out of the Advanced Shoe Factory 4.0 located in Ardoix, France, Salomon is proud to release a new Made-in-France trail-running shoe, the XA META. Inspired by the XA Pro and the Metacross, the XA Meta is equipped with ultra-resistant Matryx®️ upper, using yarn made next to the ASF factory by Chamatex, designed to resist abrasion with individually-coated high-tenacity Kevlar® – that also make it light and breathable. The upper is made with materials sourced in Europe and features the proven combination of sensiFIT and quickLACE lacing system for a snug, adjustable fit that improves foothold and confidence on technical terrain. The bottom unit is sourced from Asia and boasts Salomon’s advancedCHASSIS that provides lateral support and stability, keeping you safe and steady in uncertain terrain. The outsole features contaGRIP® rubber and a rubber toe cap that ensures protection in the toughest terrains. The XA Meta also comes in a GORE-TEX® version for more protection from the elements. The XA Meta will be available only for the EMEA region.

The Aero Glide 3 brings responsive cushioning and long-lasting comfort with bold, vibrating colours. This everyday trainer provides high-cushion comfort thanks to a higher stack midsole (40mm heel stack, 32mm forefoot stack, adding 3mm compared to its predecessor) constructed with Salomon’s energyFOAM EVO, a super foam made with TPU delivering more rebound and better cushioning over time for a dynamic run. At just 245g, this shoe is extremely lightweight, so you can keep running as long as you feel like. The upper features a seamless construction, padded tongue and collar that fits like a glove when paired with the sensiFIT technology and traditional laces. The reverse camber geometry in the midsole, inspired by Salomon’s ski heritage, gently propels you forward.

Updated adv skin running bag for more stability
The best-selling hydration vest ADV Skin 12 is back with a new construction for improved stability, fit and versatility. The new Y-shape construction uses a mix of stretch and supportive fabrics and new shoulder straps to create a better weight distribution, paired with the sensiFIT technology on the sides and quickLINK system in the front to ensure an enveloping, snug fit with optimal comfort and friction-free wearability. The vest comes with new soft flasks with a conical shape that easily slide into the front pockets for rapid, hassle-free access to hydration. The two-large front pockets and two zipped front pockets will securely hold your snacks and valuables while the updated tunnel pocket in the back is optimized for storing a jacket. The back of the vest also features elastic loops to hold poles, a large, zipped pocket compatible with 1.5L bladder, and compression laces on the sides. The ADV Skin vest also comes in a 5L version.
For women, the ADV Skin 12L is built with a specific harness shape and women sensiFIT on the sides to adapt to women morphologies, combined with a dissociated quickLINK system for a more precise and adjustable fit on the chest area.
Versatile & stylish shakeout apparel range for running
The new Salomon Shakeout Fly Jacket is made with 100% recycled polyamide ripstop fabric, a lightweight, windproof (CFM 20) and breathable fabric that will protect you on those windy runs. The raglan sleeve construction provides freedom of movement. Two zippered pockets keep your valuables close, while a drawcord lets you adjust the fit to keep the elements out. The jacket features reflective elements to be seen at night and is easily packable.
The Shakeout Core Tee is made with Salomon’s Core_Flow open mesh fabric to provide breathability and quick drying. It features athletic lines with longer sleeves for a progressive look, making it the perfect tee for your morning runs to lunchtime workouts and weekend adventures. It comes in short and long sleeves, as well as in a drop arm tank version for men and tank version for women.
